We are a 200 year old family-run tannery specialising in vegetable tanned aniline and semi-aniline casein goatskins and calfskins aimed mainly at the craft bookbinding and small leathergoods market. We hold an extensive range of stock colours in our different ranges of leather and happy to make leathers to customers pattern shades for orders over 24 skins. In addition to our leathers we also sell a wide range of bookbinding materials and tools. We have a full on-line catalogue of all our leathers and bookbinding materials which you can access here.

Types of leather include:

Vegetable tanned goatskins and calfskins for bookbinding and small leathergoods
Alum tawed goatskins and calfskins
Pigmented sheep skivers
Aluminium based tallowed sheepskins for bagpipes
Hand blocked leather bookmarks

We also supply a full range of bookbinding materials including cloths, glues, marbled papers, and bookbinders tools

Our minimum order is 1 skin or £10 for non-leather items

Thickness of leather: generally between 0.6 and 0.9mm but can go up to 1.2mm on certain leathers

We currently contract tan sheepskins for bagpipes and are open to potential clients contacting us to discuss their requirements
